With a long stretch of white sand, Waihi Beach is one of New Zealand's safest and most loved beaches.
Waihi Beach has an appealing combination of an attractive natural and built environment together with a relaxed and inviting community. A few minutes' walk from the beach, and close to a bustling village, the 81 Citrus Development will include 17 new residential lots organised around green communal spaces that will be designed to high standards. The development aims to preserve and enhance the character of Waihi Beach while providing beautiful private and shared spaces for individuals and families to enjoy.

Waihi Beach is in the Bay of Plenty. The Waihi Beach area stretches for about 8 kilometres along the beach and penetrates about 3 kilometres inland. At one end is Athenree, which is close to the tip of the entrance to Tauranga's harbour. At the other end is the small Waihi Beach shopping centre, which has a supermarket, chemist, bookshop, butchery, cafe and takeaways shop and several real estate offices. The area is excellent for swimming and fishing, its population swelling during the summer months.
